"Tony is a pleasure to learn from. His passion for salsa is contagious. Patterns are broke down into easy to learn moves and he is always happy to share styling tips to make you look great on the dance floor"
Corey S. - Vancouver, BC
Yelena's Ladies Styling Class
"Yelena is a patient instructor with the ability to break style into comprehensible, learnable parts without destroying the sensuality of the whole. She includes exactly the right amount of repetition to allow students to retain the moves without becoming bored. All in all, she provided me with a large repetoire of beautiful moves--and even more importantly, poise and confidence--to display on the dance floor."
Julia B. - Burnaby, BC
"I have been an EasySalsa student for over a year now. Having just finished level six, I thought about why I enjoy learning from Tony and Yelena so much. There are many reasons. Tony has an incredible talent for teaching salsa in an understandable way. He has the ability to break down the steps and helps you understand the body mechanics behind the moves. He emphasizes the fundamentals of leading, following and correct timing/rhthym in every level...from beginner to advanced. To create and build upon anything, that stong foundation of knowledge is key.

Tony and Yelena also make you look good on the dance floor! I can't remember how many times I've been in awe at the beginning of a class when they demonstrate what they will be teaching that day. They make the dance patterns seem effortless. When you and your partner are able to execute what they've taught, it's a priceless and inspiring feeling. I have also taken the ladies styling class and can honestly say that it has made me a more confident dancer.

Both instructors are very supportive and encouraging of their students and the salsa community as a whole. It has been a pleasure learning from such great people."

"Tony and Jelena are the best salsa teachers in town! We're up to level 4 now and have really enjoyed every class and workshop we've taken with them. They're both excellent instructors who communicate well and are easy to learn from - whether it's basic steps or breaking down more complex patterns in the advanced levels. They have a passion for salsa and dancing that inspires you.

Their classes are well-structured with a lot of emphasis on proper form and technique - something that becomes increasingly important as you progress beyond the basics into more complex patterns. And the material they teach is beautiful and stylish, guaranteed to make you look good on the dance floor!

One of the really great benefits with learning salsa from EasySalsa is the many opportunities they offer for you to practice and go dancing outside of class, such as weekly salsa dances and practice sessions. Even if you don't have a partner there are always people to dance with and it makes a big difference in how quickly and how well you learn.

And if you're looking to meet people and make new friends, salsa classes are great for that - after all, what other evening class can you take that has such a fun social life?!!! It's a great way to meet people and we're proof of that as we met in a class and became friends and dance partners and are now partners in love!"
Stephen Dancey & Jennifer Perry - Vancouver, BC
"I would highly recommend any of the Easy Salsa classes. Tony and Yelena are excellent teachers. I just completed the ladies' styling class, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am not only more skilled after taking one of their classes, but I am also more inspired to dance."
Danielle K. - Vancouver, BC
"I just completed EasySalsa's Level 1 class and really enjoyed it! Tony and Nina are excellent instructors who communicate well and are easy to learn from - whether it's teaching basic steps or breaking down more complex patterns. They have a passion for salsa and dancing that inspires you.

The class was well-structured with a lot of emphasis in the beginning on proper form and technique, developing your sense of rhythm, learning to keep in time with the music, and establishing good connection with your partner in terms of leading and following. All of which, in hindsight, turned out to be really important as you progress beyond the basics into more complex steps.

By the end of the class you'll feel incredibly confident in your abilities and be amazed to find you know a very beautiful and smooth pattern of steps that looks awesome on the dance floor. And you'll be left wanting to learn more!

Pretty soon you'll be one of the regulars at all the salsa dances in Vancouver and when you go dancing you'll be so in demand as a dance partner you won't have a chance to sit down and catch your breath!"

"Easysalsa is not just a clever name, its the truth. Tony's clear, step-by-step teaching method makes even the most difficult of moves easy to learn. Not only does Tony teach the moves and patterns and how to look good doing them, but he also teaches how to avoid injuries in some of the more daring moves.

If you want to learn to dance Salsa, another instructor might be okay, but if you want to learn to dance Salsa well , Tony is your number 1 choice."
Voytec S. - North Vancouver, BC
"Since becoming interested in Salsa dancing, I have searched for a dance instructor who could not only dance the proper Salsa form, but also one who could effectively communicate instructions to his students. After several instructors, I was introduced to Tony Boutros in the fall of 1999 and began taking lessons.

Like a Spanish Matador, Tony's Salsa dance style can only be described as dazzling and powerful, enveloped by a graceful artistic flare. When Tony dances, he draws in an audience and captures their imagination.

Tony's ability to communicate instructions to his students is second-to-none. Clearly, his superior teaching skills has come from his ability to successfully merge his regimented pilot instruction skills into the free flowing dance arena. In teaching his class, Tony uses many graphic real life descriptions to convey his thoughts. His emphasis on the basics first, stressing rhythm and the use of repetition provides the necessary foundation for any student to become a successful Salsa dancer for life.

I wholeheartedly endorse Tony's dancing and teaching skills and without a doubt, he is Vancouver's premier Salsa instructor."

"Tony I wanted to tell you that your following and leading class really paid off. I went to Seattle this past weekend and had the time of my life dancing. I didn't think I would get to dance much because I didn't know anyone but 3 hours later...I was able to dance with people I didn't know and follow them without much trouble. Some dancers were harder to follow than others but I tried to remember you saying "do everything in 3's!" It worked. I was on a dancer's high for days! I still have much to learn but thanks."
Andrea Z. - Vancouver, BC
"You've heard the popular saying that those who can not do teach. And all too often this seems to be the case. There is a world of difference between the ability to dance and being actually able to explain how it is done to others. Tony is definitely the rare "breed" of instructors that successfully combines a playful, sexy and very energetic salsa style with a unique ability to explain how YOU can do it as well.

I have been maintaining my "love-hate" relationship with salsa for just a little under a year: I love to salsa and I hate not being anywhere near as good as most of the guys in the clubs. After taking numerous lessons with various instructors I finally realized that even if I learn a new figure, step or even an interesting combination, successful performance of that step would mostly depend on "luck" rather than my ability to lead the girl into that. I found that a lot of my "victims"(aka "dance partners") did not understand my lead hence the dance never looked as good as I was hoping. Not to mention that the whole thing would be off-beat.

Throughout my journey in Salsaland several people at different times inquired whether I have taken any classes with Tony. I could ignore people trying to tell me something only for so long. First, I watched Tony dance at clubs and it did not take long to develop a lot of appreciation for his very energetic and amazingly "mobile" style with a seemingly bottomless "bag of tricks". However, the feature I found the most interesting to me was Tony's leading skills, something I truly lacked.

Perhaps the most convincing testimony I received was talking to girls who had the honor of dancing with Tony. They all as one state that dancing with Tony is very easy, his lead is such that it is practically impossible not to follow it properly, which makes it so much easier and more fun. And it is true. Girls ALWAYS look good dancing with Tony.

I am taking one of Tony's classes this winter. I am improving and I can only attribute that to Tony's instruction. It still is a lot of practicing, sweat and hard work. But at least I am improving. I strongly recommend Tony as the instructor and he be the missing ingredient in your Salsa?"
