"I have just started lessons with Tony and after each class I can't wait for the next one. His explanations are very clear, and most of the time is spent practicing on the dance floor. He is very good at showing explaining and demonstrating all the subtle differnces that make salsa look good and at identifying my "mistakes", without ever showing off himself. He seems as enthusiastic at teaching as I am at learning. He is also a very kind man, and the atmosphere in the studio is always pleasant. I just wish I could have a class every day!"

"The two salsa bootcamps I attended were terrific. It's a fun-filled and relaxed environment to learn, with even live music played longside with recorded music at times. Good dancers are necessarily good instructors, but Tony has a knack of presenting salsa combos to students in a clear and smooth fashion. Dancing salsa is not just about steps but style is also important. The tips and advice he provided are valuable for home practice.
Thumbs up to Yelena's lady styling workshop. After this, I realize the basic techniques she taught are very helpful in executing many dance patterns. The materials she covered, the attention given to students and efforts made exceed expectations."

"I have just finished Salsa Boot camp Spicy Level 2 and I loved it! I learned so much in one day and can not WAIT to get out there and dance! Tony and Yelena were patient, down to earth and made the day really enjoyable. I felt very comfortable from the minute I stepped thru their door. I love the combination of salsa styles and especially loved learning the Cuban combos. I know that Tony has been teaching for a long time and I trust his teaching methods completely. Wondering which salsa instructor to choose from the myriad of instructors in Vancouver? I have tried several and Tony is THE top pick. You can't go wrong with this guy; he teaches fun, leadable moves that you immediately have fun with on the dance floor. He is thorough, he breaks down the moves, and he teaches with fun and a great sense of humor. He also lectures on rhythm, which is so important; ever seen those guys coming out of a beginner's class with no clue how to keep the rhythm? Not from Tony's classes you haven't! Tony has a wonderful patience with absolute beginners and he gives you excellent homework exercises. Plus, he's got an amazing eye for the details that will improve your dancing. I also like that he ensures an equal number of leads & follows in his classes; it makes each class 100% productive and enjoyable. I have taken Level 1 with Tony and I am already having so much fun on the dance floors in town. I didn't think twice about signing up for Level 2; these classes are fun, effective, and addictive!

Yes! My partner and I are "repeat offenders"! Tony and Yelena's teaching style is addictive, and in our view true to the nature of Salsa Dancing. We can't wait for their "Lead / Follow" Workshop coming up in the fall. All those of you who have been contemplating Salsa lessons, we would strongly recommend Tony & Yelena!
